JOB TITLE: BACK AND FRONT OFFICE SYSTEM MANAGER FOR A TOUR OPERATOR

Major responsibilities:

  • Understand , Identify and Formulate System Requirements:
  • Knowledge of tour operator / travel agency operation, specific to the Mid and Back Office
  • Manage the Mid & Back Office systems
  • Handing over of files to accounting system
  • Generation of both Tours sales and Accounting reporting
  • Uploading of Supplier contract rates into system and managing of rate seasons, specials and allotments on daily basis
  • Support to Tours department on use of system
  • Monitoring of all inputted data onto system
  • Contact suppliers to negotiate new rates before expiry of contracts
  • Manage online booking engine link to back office system
  • End-to-end responsibility for the gathering and compilation of back-office hand-off requirements to 3rd party systems.
  • Monitor product success and define corrective actions as necessary
  • Proactively communicate information on the system, particularly relating to product updates and new versions

Relevant job experience:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in travel related  back and mid office systems
  • Minimum 1 year relevant accounting experience in travel industry

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Tourism IT or equivalent experience
  • Process Management knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Familiar with reporting Tools
  • Familiar with a variety of travel agency Mid / Back office solutions available to the travel industry
  • Previous accounting and/or Travel Industry experience will be an advantage.

NOTE:Two positions are available for the above vacancy: one in Nairobi, Kenya and the other in Dubai.

Recruiting: Professional Driver Guide
  • Experienced and professional driver guide required for HTT Kenya office.
  • Candidate must have minimum 5 years tourism industry experience, clean driving record & be fully licensed.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Candidate must have extensive knowledge on flora, fauna, Kenya culture and tourism.
  • Candidate must be able to drive minivans and land cruisers.
  • Candidate must have basic mechanical knowledge, be a team player, pleasant temperament, responsible and mature.
